- The Contractor excavated for an addition with a basement
- Part of the house only had a 3’ deep foundation wall
- The foundation wall needs to be extended deeper for the addition
- To accomplish this, it must be done in sections so the house does not collapse
- We excavated 4’, then skipped 8’, then excavated 4’, and so on
- Then we installed rebar, formed and poured the concrete in the excavated sections
- A few days later, we excavated another 4’ and did the same
- After three concrete pours, the underpinning was complete
- The house is fully supported and the addition can be built
